Missing Man Found Dead with Stab Wounds
On October 15, 2021, a resident of Tavush Province reported that his brother had left their home on October 13 around 17:00 in his "VAZ 2106" vehicle and had not returned.
One day later, the body of the 65-year-old man was discovered in a wooded area near the village of Vazashen, exhibiting severe injuries including a stab wound to the left side of the chest, bruising to the right eyelid, a penetrating wound to the right side of the upper lip, and missing soft tissue around the head.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated at the Tavush regional investigative department of the Armenian Investigative Committee under Article 104, Part 1 of the Armenian Criminal Code. An investigative team has been formed, and a preliminary investigation is underway.
Necessary investigative and procedural actions are being taken to clarify all circumstances surrounding the incident and the cause of the man's death.
