Investigative Committee on Deceased Couple and Note

On October 19, 2021, around 01:00, a call was received regarding a couple in the village of Zovuni, Kotayk province, who were not responding to phone calls or knocks on their door. The Investigative Committee of Armenia has issued a statement on this matter.

"Based on the call, an investigative-operational group arrived at the scene and discovered the bodies of a husband and wife, born in 1949 and 1954, respectively, in the bedroom of the mentioned apartment on the bed. Next to the bed, glass cups containing a whitish liquid were found. A note was also discovered in the living room of the apartment. Explanations have been taken from several residents living nearby. Chemico-legal and forensic medical examinations have been appointed. To clarify the actual circumstances of the couple's death, as well as several other issues, an assignment has been given to the Nairi Division of the RA Police," the statement reads.
