School-Aged Child Dies in Vietnam from Exploding Mobile Phone

A school-aged child has died in Vietnam due to an incident involving a mobile phone during remote learning sessions. This was reported by the "Daily Star." In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, schools in the area are conducting lessons online.

A fifth-grade student from a school in Nghe An province had joined the class using a phone that was being charged. The device exploded, resulting in burns to the child's clothing. Neighbors quickly came to the child's aid and attempted to rush them to the hospital for treatment, but tragically, the child passed away on the way.

Vietnamese media reports that the child's family members have requested the police not to conduct an investigation into the incident.
