Lowest Voter Turnout in Gyumri, Highest in Tatev for Local Elections
The Central Electoral Commission has presented the voter turnout percentages for the local elections held on October 17 in 9 communities across Armenia. The data shows that the highest voter turnout was in the Syunik region, with Tatev community leading the way. Conversely, the lowest turnout was recorded in Gyumri.
Here are the turnout percentages:
- Gyumri - 24.14%
- Goris - 50.25%
- Megeru - 59.47%
- Dilijan - 44%
- Tatev - 60.64%
It is important to note that the overall participation rate is very low, which can perhaps be explained by a lack of trust in political forces.
