Significant Revelation: Who Was Responsible for the Legendary Beatles' Breakup?

“I am not the one who instigated the breakup. Oh no, no, no. John walked into the room one day and said, ‘I’m leaving the Beatles.’ Is that instigating the breakup or not?” Paul McCartney made a notable revelation in this context.

The history of rock has portrayed Paul McCartney as the culprit behind the legendary Beatles' breakup over 50 years ago, but the musician now admits he was not to blame. The Guardian reports that after the group disbanded, McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr went their separate ways, while much of the blame fell squarely on McCartney’s shoulders.

He emphasized that it was “the most difficult period of his life.” McCartney, who will celebrate his 80th birthday next year, revealed that he wanted the band to continue, especially since they were still creating “pretty good stuff” after just eight years together. “This was my band, this was my work, this was my life, so I wanted it to keep going,” said the musician.

If Lennon had not left, McCartney believes their musical journey could have lasted much longer. He recounted that Lennon's decision to leave was described as “quite emotional” and “more like a divorce.”
