How Education Will Be Conducted in Schools: Deputy Minister

Education in schools will be conducted during the day if the number of students exceeds 20. However, schools that can prove they are able to maintain proper anti-epidemic conditions will apply to the ministry, and after our inspections, they will transition to a daily mode, said Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasian at a press conference.

According to her, specialists indicate that split classes allow for more attention to be paid to students.

As for first graders, they will start school on August 31. Andreasian noted that there are approximately 37,000 first graders this year.

The Deputy Minister also mentioned that it will be up to the school to decide whether to operate on a 5-day or 6-day schedule. She also added that guidelines will soon be published regarding which members of the school staff may not need to be vaccinated or tested every two weeks. Overall, most teachers approach vaccination consciously.
