Tavush Province Administration Issues Statement on Population Relocation from Border Zone

The circulating information suggesting that there are plans to relocate the population from the border zone of Tavush Province has no relation to reality. This statement comes from the Tavush Provincial Administration.

According to the announcement, a change was made to the new revision of the population relocation plan from dangerous areas of Tavush, as per the decision No. 246-A of the Tavush Province Governor dated August 19, 2021, replacing the names of officials with their respective titles. No other changes were made.

The plan for the relocation of the population from dangerous areas of Tavush operates in accordance with Article 34, Part 4 of the Law on Normative Legal Acts of the Republic of Armenia and the requirements of the Government Decision No. 1180-N dated August 18, 2011.
