Heavy Rain Causes Landslides in the Mountains, Missing Persons Reported

Due to heavy rains in Dagestan, landslides have occurred in the mountains. The torrential mud and water have swept away people, trees, vehicles, and structures in their path.

Currently, a mother and her young son, who were in one of the vehicles, are considered missing, along with the driver of a truck transporting animals. Reports also indicate that groups of tourists are trapped in the mountains in the Qaradagh gorge.

Rescue teams have evacuated a total of 34 tourists, including 10 children. Two additional tourists are also reported missing, having been swept away by the mud.
