Fire Breaks Out in Khosrov Forest State Reserve

On August 24, at 19:48, the Kotayk regional crisis management center received a report of a fire breaking out in the territory of the Khosrov Forest State Reserve. Five firefighting teams from the Emergency Situations Ministry's Yerevan and regional rescue departments were dispatched to the scene.

According to preliminary information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, approximately 5,000 square meters of grassland is burning. A total of 31 rescuers, 20 employees from the Khosrov Forest State Reserve state non-commercial organization, and about 60 residents from the village of Garni are participating in the firefighting efforts.
