VIDEO: 16-Year-Old Boy Arrested for Killing His Father, Crime Solved

On August 6, a report was received by the Kotayk police from a hospital indicating that a person had died in one of the houses on Amaranotsayin 4th Street in the village of Dzoraghbyur. Following the alert, operational teams from the Kotayk police division and the Garni subdivision rushed to the scene, along with personnel from other police units, including the Criminal Police General Department.

The body of the 48-year-old homeowner showed signs of stab wounds; he had multiple knife injuries. A criminal case was initiated by the territorial investigative department.

Thanks to operational-intelligence measures undertaken, it became clear that the man had been with his 16-year-old son in the house. An unpleasant conversation had ensued between them, after which the teenager stabbed his father and left the residence.

In the early morning, a friend of the homeowner arrived at the house and discovered the murder, subsequently alerting emergency services.

Kotayk police quickly determined the whereabouts of the 16-year-old boy and arrested him after discovering him on Moscow Street in Yerevan. The teenager was presented to the Abovyan investigative division, where he confessed to the crime and was arrested.

An investigative experiment has been conducted, during which the arrested individual showed law enforcement officials the knife used in the crime, which he had hidden in a nearby plot of land. The investigation is ongoing.
