Assailants Storm Home Yard, Damage Vehicle, Assault and Abuse Mother and Wife

On July 20, at 2:25 AM, a report was received at the Martuni Police Division from a hospital stating that a resident of Madina village had been admitted with a "cut-stab wound in the left thigh area". This was reported by the Police.

Upon arrival, the police operational group found that around 1:00 AM on the same day, the individual taken to the hospital had argued over household matters with four others, during which they insulted and fought with each other.

After the argument, these individuals went to the man’s yard, damaged his vehicle, and verbally and physically assaulted his mother and wife. Noticing the man, they inflicted numerous blows on him using their hands and feet, and then struck him twice on the thigh and waist with a sharp cutting-stabbing tool, causing bodily injuries.

Thanks to the measures taken by the criminal investigators of Martuni, it was established that the 23-year-old resident of Geghhovit village inflicted the injuries on the man with the sharp cutting-stabbing tool. He and the other three participants in the dispute were taken to the police station and provided confessional statements.

Measures are being taken to find the weapon used in the crime. An investigation is underway.
