The situation regarding hostages taken in the Helby prison in the Swedish city of Eskilstuna has been successfully resolved, with the criminals being detained and the hostages unharmed, reports Lenta.ru.
After 9 hours of negotiations, the inmates released two hostages. The police met one of the assailants' demands by purchasing 20 kebabs and pizza for them. However, law enforcement refused to provide a helicopter as requested.
Currently, two criminals are arrested and face kidnapping charges. On July 21, inmates 30-year-old Isaac David and 24-year-old Hamed Mahamed Abdullah stormed the security personnel's room and took two people hostage. The criminals barricaded themselves in a room and disabled the cameras, threatening to kill the guards with a razor blade and demanding a helicopter along with the food in exchange for the hostages' release. Both assailants have previous convictions for murder.
