Two Planes Collide at Dubai Airport
On Thursday morning, a Flydubai budget airline aircraft heading from Dubai to Bishkek collided on the runway with a Gulf Air plane from Bahrain at Dubai International Airport. Fortunately, no one was injured, but passengers were forced to take later flights, as reported by RIA Novosti.
According to an official representative of Flydubai, "The flight from Dubai International Airport to Manas International Airport in Bishkek returned to the gate on July 22 due to a minor incident on the runway involving one of our new generation Boeing 737-800 planes and another aircraft. The passengers flew on a later flight. Flydubai will investigate the incident in cooperation with the authorities."
For its part, Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, confirmed to RIA Novosti that "one of its planes at Dubai International Airport was involved in an incident on the ground after another plane hit its tail."
