Video: Oil Platform Burning in Azerbaijani Section of the Caspian Sea

An oil platform in the Azerbaijani section of the Caspian Sea is ablaze, with the fire igniting after an explosion, a source familiar with the situation has informed RIA Novosti.

According to the agency, the explosion occurred near the "Umid" platform. Some reports suggest that the explosion took place on the old jetty near Bulla Island.

RIA Novosti has yet to receive official comments regarding the incident.
