Tragic Incident in Armavir Region: 16-Year-Old Drowns After Rescuing 2 Friends

On July 6, a tragic incident occurred in the Armavir region. Around 16:00, the police department in Baghramyan received a report that a child had fallen into the Argin water channel.

Police and investigators found that on the same day, at approximately 13:45, 16-year-old Narek Kh. from the Armavir region was harvesting in the administrative area of Artani village when he submerged while trying to rescue two of his friends from the "Mayr Aru" water channel. His body was later retrieved with the help of local residents in the administrative territory of Argin, about 4.5 to 5 kilometers away.

According to the preliminary conclusion from the forensic examination, no signs of violence were found on the corpse during the external examination. Materials are being prepared at the Armavir Regional Investigative Department regarding the incident, and a forensic medical examination has been appointed by the investigator.
