Tragic Incident in Kotayk Province: KamAZ Vehicle Rolls into Gorge After 80-Meter Fall

On July 12, a tragic incident occurred in the Kotayk Province. Around 16:20, the Emergency Situations Ministry's rescue service received a call at the 911 operational management center, reporting that in the Vahan Teryan neighborhood of the village of Arinj, a KamAZ truck had rolled approximately 80 meters and landed in a gorge.

According to shamshyan.com, rescuers, along with senior police officer Edgar Karapetyan and junior officer Hayk Mikhailyan, worked under hazardous conditions to extract the deceased from the truck's cargo area and carried him approximately 200 meters on a stretcher to the ambulance. Rescuers risked their lives, as the overturned KamAZ could have turned over at any moment. They demonstrated high professional skills.

The police and investigators determined that the deceased was Ivan D., a 62-year-old resident of Abovyan city.
