Turkish Soldiers Head to Romania to Participate in NATO Exercises
The second group of Turkish soldiers has departed for Romania to participate in the NATO exercises "Steadfast Defender Europe 2021" and "Defender Europe 2021." This information was reported by the Anadolu Agency.
The "Defender Europe 2021" exercise is taking place with the participation of over 30,000 servicemen from 26 countries alongside the "Steadfast Defender 2021" exercises, which involve the armed forces of 15 NATO member countries. The aim is to enhance combat readiness skills and improve cooperation between the United States and countries participating in the "Partnership for Peace" program.
The exercises include personnel from the 66th Motorized Infantry Brigade, based in the city of Çorlu in northwestern Turkey, which is designated as a high-readiness operational unit.
