Gunfire in Dilijan: Fired Casings and Blood-Like Traces Found at the Scene
On May 19, gunfire was reported in the Tavush region. At around 18:00, the Dilijan police received a call reporting shots fired on Hakobjanyan Street in the city of Dilijan. According to shamshyan.com, the head of the Tavush regional police department, Sergo Avetisyan, along with the deputy head of the operational department, Sevak Badinyan, arrived at the scene. An operational group from the Dilijan police department, led by the head of the department, was also dispatched. Additionally, a group from the Tavush regional investigative department of Armenia's Investigative Committee arrived.
Police and investigators discovered multiple fired casings from a firearm and blood-like traces at the location. Currently, operational and investigative teams are determining whether anyone has been admitted to hospitals with injuries. Investigative materials are being prepared at the Dilijan investigative department regarding the incident.
The police and the investigative department are conducting necessary operational investigative measures to clarify the circumstances of the incident, as well as to identify the participants in the altercation and to locate them along with the firearm used in the crime.
