Tragic Accident on Yerevan-Ijevan Highway; Casualties Reported

On May 21, at 03:11, the Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center received a call reporting a traffic accident near the "Harsnakar" restaurant complex on the Yerevan-Ijevan highway, with multiple injuries reported.

A response team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue administration deployed to the scene. It was determined that at the 66th kilometer of the Yerevan-Ijevan highway, a truck with the brand ZIL 130, functioning as a mobile gas station (driver: S.G.), collided with a Lada Priora vehicle (driver: H.M., born in 1996).

As a result of the collision, the driver of the Lada and a passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. Rescuers de-energized the vehicles and shut off the gas cylinder valves. Subsequently, with the assistance of special equipment, the bodies were extracted from the vehicle and transported to an ambulance.
