The United States anticipates that President Joe Biden's meeting with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin will take place in the coming weeks. This was stated by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken during a joint press conference with Iceland's Foreign Minister in Reykjavik.

“As you know, there is a proposal for a meeting between Biden and Putin. We expect that it will happen in the coming weeks,” said the American official. According to sources, the potential summit between the two presidents could occur in Geneva, provided Russia agrees to hold it. However, it is noted that Switzerland has not commented on the likelihood of hosting the meeting.
