Parties Reach Agreement in Syunik: Azerbaijanis to Return to Positions at 10:00 AM
Former Syunik Governor Vahe Hakobyan stated in an interview with 24news that negotiations with the Azerbaijani side regarding access to the area of Sevan Lake have concluded.
“The parties have reached an agreement. As far as I know, at 10:00 AM, the Azerbaijanis will return to their positions,” emphasized Vahe Hakobyan, noting that there are reservations about the decision. However, he did not disclose what these reservations pertain to.
“At this moment, the situation in Syunik is normal; there are no gunshots or tension,” Hakobyan concluded.
It is important to recall that the Azerbaijanis had advanced several kilometers in the area known as the Black Lake and were refusing to retreat. The Armenian side was negotiating with Russian peacekeepers to return the Azerbaijanis to their initial positions.
