The Weight of the Borders of Gegharkunik and Syunik Rests on the Soldier's Shoulders: T. Abrahamyan

The head of the "Heneket" analytical center, Tigran Abrahamyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "The full responsibility for the situation created at the border of the Gegharkunik and Syunik regions, as expected, has been quickly placed by the political leadership of the country on the military leadership, command, and soldiers.
 

"The issue is not that the high-ranking military does not bear any responsibility in this regard; however, the core of the question is that the primary responsibility for what happened lies with the political leadership of the country in any such situation.
 

The acting Prime Minister's chief advisor has given an interview in which he specifically mentioned that 'after the de-escalation of tensions, the relevant departments of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff will clarify who the real responsible parties are, whether there were objective and subjective errors, and accordingly decisions will be made.'
 

It turns out that from the very beginning, Pashinyan's political team is freeing its leader and the real culprits from responsibility and transferring the issue to the military's domain.
 

I am not interested in what the Chief of the General Staff or the Minister of Defense feels in this situation; however, it is important for me that what the political leadership of the country has done should not in any way be blamed on the diligent, honorable soldier who is performing his daily duties properly and the commander.
 

It is the soldier at the front lines, not the officials who, due to the political conjuncture of the day, find themselves at the 'crime scene', quickly take photos, give interviews, and rush to their comfortable offices.
 

All the weight, difficulty, pressure, and responsibility of these days again rests on the soldier's shoulders, who does not feel the protection and support of the state behind him, and ultimately, the entire blame for the situation will again be placed on them."
