Russia Has Its Own Considerations, This Is Not Just Armenia's Problem: Andranik Kocharyan
“Russia also has something to think about here; this is not just Armenia's problem. Ultimately, regarding the ceasefire, Russia has taken on significant obligations,” said Andranik Kocharyan, the Chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Defense and Security, during a briefing with journalists today, referring to a recent border incident in Syunik.
He emphasized that there is no prospect of confrontation as long as we do not artificially engage in a logic of conflict. “Zangezur must be kept maximally protected and in a sterile condition. Russia's participation here is very significant, both as a member of the CSTO and in involvement with our border issues,” he added.
“Yes, there is a problem, but the solution to the problem is very close. There are no casualties, no injuries, no gunfire, and there haven’t been any,” Kocharyan stated.
