VIDEO: Kotayk Police Discover Large Quantity of Drugs

On April 14, the criminal investigators of the Kotayk Police Department and the Garni Police Division detained a 54-year-old resident of the village of Getamej on suspicion of illegal possession and use of narcotics. A personal search of the suspect revealed a greenish, dried, crushed plant mass.

Thanks to the explanatory work of the police, the suspect presented 5 cannabis bushes weighing 1 kg 870 grams and two cardboard boxes containing over 800 grams of cannabis-like substance from his home. According to the detainee, the discovered substance is cannabis that he harvested from the land behind his house for personal use.

A forensic chemical examination has been appointed. Preparations are underway for legal proceedings.
