VIDEO: Major Fire in Yerevan Apartment, 50 Residents Evacuated; Several Injured
On April 14, at 00:07, the National Crisis Management Center received a report about a fire that broke out in one of the apartments on the fifth floor of building number 29/1 on Moldova Street in Yerevan.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that three firefighting teams, one aerial ladder, operational groups from the National Crisis Management Center, as well as psychological support personnel were dispatched to the scene.
The complexity of the fire was categorized as “1 BIS.” A firefighting team and a medical support unit were sent from the emergency services of Yerevan.
Rescuers evacuated individuals, identified as D.G. (born in 2001), S.G. (born in 2009), and D. (born in 1979), and brought them to an ambulance where they received necessary medical assistance and psychological support on site. Subsequently, D.G. was hospitalized at “Armenia” Medical Center. Doctors assessed the patient's condition as moderate.
The fire was contained by 00:46 and extinguished by 01:09. The room, along with its furnishings (15 square meters), was damaged. Rescuers managed to evacuate around 50 residents from the building.
