VIDEO: Large Quantities of Weapons and Munitions Voluntarily Surrendered Following NSS Explanatory Work
The Military Counterintelligence Department of the National Security Service of Armenia has successfully facilitated the voluntary surrender of significant amounts of weaponry from six servicemen of the Ministry of Defense's military unit No. N. The items surrendered include three AK-74 assault rifles of 5.45 mm caliber, one SVD sniper rifle of 7.62 mm caliber equipped with an optical sight, and 1,925 combat rounds of 5.45 mm caliber designed for AK-74 rifles, RPK-74 light machine guns, and their modifications.
Additionally, the soldiers returned one fragmentation grenade of 40 mm caliber intended for launchers, three bayonets classified as combat edged weapons compatible with Kalashnikov rifles, and various other types of munitions.
The National Security Service of Armenia continues to undertake operational-intelligence measures aimed at discovering any other weapons and munitions that may have been illegally transported from the battlefield to the territory of Armenia. The NSS urges individuals who participated in the combat and possessed or transported weapons, munitions, or explosives illegally to voluntarily hand them over to law enforcement agencies, as these actions may serve as grounds for exemption from criminal liability under the law.
