Major Car Accident in Yerevan: 6 Minors Transferred to Hospital

According to the site, the accident happened around 20:10. A Toyota Camry with license plate 17 DM 007 exited the roadway on Monte Melkonyan Street, collided with a basalt curb, continued forward, struck an electricity pole, overturned it, and ended up upside down in the green lawn of the roadway divider.

“Before the arrival of rescuers, with the help of citizens, 6 minor children were taken out of the vehicle, who were first given first aid by the emergency doctors who arrived promptly and then transferred to the ‘Astghik’ Medical Center,” the site reports.

The fire-rescue team cut off the power to the vehicle, closed the gas cylinder, and secured the area. Investigations are underway regarding the incident. The police are identifying the driver and the injured individuals. Following the investigator's instructions, the vehicle has been transferred to a specially guarded area of the Yerevan Traffic Police.
