Video: Two Men Stabbed on Saryan Street
On the evening of March 21, the police department in Yerevan's Central District received reports from various medical facilities that two men had been hospitalized with bodily injuries. They were diagnosed with stab wounds to the chest; they had been stabbed.
Teams dispatched to the medical centers quickly established that the injuries were sustained during the same incident. Soon, the location of the event was revealed. Criminal investigators from the Central District headed to the backyard of building number 35 on Saryan Street. Operational and investigative measures continued at the scene.
As a result of inquiries, police gathered information indicating that an unjustified dispute had arisen among a group of individuals. Clarifications of the situation concluded with the stabbing incident. The identities of the participants, their residences, and the role of each individual were determined.
Through the aggregation and analysis of information obtained during operational and investigative measures, the identity of the suspect was also established. He and others were located and brought to the Central District police station during the night of March 22. A 21-year-old resident of the capital has provided a confession. Investigations have been appointed, and the preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
