On March 20, officers from the Goris division of the police, acting on operational information, inspected the 'Opel' vehicle of a 27-year-old resident of Aramus village in the Kotayk region within the Tegh community.
In the trunk of the vehicle, factory-numbered Kalashnikov rifles were discovered, along with loaded magazines containing 59 rounds of 5.45 and 7.62 mm caliber ammunition. The weapons and ammunition were seized and sent for forensic examination.
The Goris police, in cooperation with units from the Ararat regional administration and military police, determined that the rifles had been sent from Artsakh. The identity of the sender was also established, who provided a confession. Investigations are ongoing.
