Passenger Gazelle Collides with Tunnel Wall and Overturns; Rescuers Retrieve Injured Individual

On March 14, at 23:29, the Emergency Situations Ministry of Armenia received a call to the National Crisis Management Center about a traffic accident on Agatangelos Street in Yerevan. A passenger Gazelle vehicle overturned while heading from the tunnel towards the circus intersection under unclear circumstances.

A rescue team from the Special Rescue Operations Center of the Emergency Situations Ministry's Rescue Service was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the Gazelle vehicle (driver M.K.) had veered off the roadway, collided with the tunnel wall, and overturned.

Rescuers extricated the driver from the wreckage and brought them to an ambulance, then disconnected the vehicle's battery and closed the gas cylinder valve. The injured individual was hospitalized at Heratsi Hospital No. 1, where doctors assessed their condition as medium severity.
