VIDEO: 32+5 Packages of Drugs. Police Reveals Operation

The police of Vagharsapat received operational information regarding the possession and trafficking of narcotics, which was executed on January 29 around 6 a.m. Two young individuals were apprehended from the Capital Street in Parakar village of the Armavir region while in a Volkswagen vehicle. Both are registered in Yerevan.

During a search of the bag belonging to the 22-year-old driver, 32 packages resembling marijuana were found, weighing approximately 72 grams in total. The young man stated that he obtained all of it through the Telegram site. Another similar package was discovered during a personal search of his 26-year-old friend, who also named the same site as the source of acquisition.

The vehicle was taken to the department's secured area and sealed. The following day, by court order, the car was also searched. Five packages of a powder-like substance resembling narcotics were found, weighing approximately eight grams in total. Expert examinations have been appointed.

A criminal case was initiated under Article 266 of the Criminal Code for illegal trafficking of narcotics with the intent to sell. Both individuals have been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
