Balasanyan Discusses Differences Between His Approach and the Political Course of the 'Justice' Party
The Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh, Vitaly Balasanyan, has commented on the differences between his approach and the political course of the 'Justice' party of Artsakh.
In an interview with Artsakh Public Television, Balasanyan, who was nominated for the presidency of the Republic of Artsakh by the 'Justice' party during the 2020 parliamentary elections, noted that like all political forces, the 'Justice' party has its own strategies and political course. "I can express my opinion, but I do not have the moral right, and I can never impose that they deviate from their political course. Before the elections, our programs almost coincided with the newly established 'Justice' party. When I clearly agreed to participate in the National Assembly and presidential elections of the Republic of Artsakh, the party nominated my candidacy. I headed the 'Justice' election list. As a result, the party, participating in the parliamentary elections for the first time, now has a three-member faction in the National Assembly. After the formation of the parliament, the 'Justice' faction declared itself to be in opposition, having maintained its course to this day. I consider it my sacred duty to serve our country and people, especially during a difficult situation in the country. Therefore, when the President of the Republic of Artsakh announced the formation of a national accord government and extended a hand to all political forces, I was one of the first to respond. I would like every citizen living in Artsakh to consider it their sacred duty to serve our people and country," emphasized Balasanyan.
