The Vice Prime Ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia to Discuss Railway Construction in Moscow Tomorrow
Tomorrow in Moscow, a meeting of the Vice Prime Ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia is scheduled, where the construction of a railway connecting Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan through Armenian territory will be discussed.
According to sources from RБК in Armenia and Russia, the Armenian side will be represented by Mher Grigoryan, the Russian side by Olexey Ovelchuk, and the Azerbaijani side by Shahin Mustafayev.
It is worth recalling that at the meeting of leaders of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan on January 11, an agreement was reached to discuss this issue at the vice prime ministers' level. During that meeting, Prime Minister Pashinyan stated that he could not achieve progress on the issue of prisoners but signed a memorandum on economic cooperation.
RБК reports that the vice prime ministers will discuss several issues at once, including the construction of the railway that will establish a land connection between Azerbaijan and Nakhichevan through Armenian territory.
Thus, the issue of unblocking roads has entered a discussion phase without the precondition of releasing Armenian prisoners held in Azerbaijan.
