What Keeps Arsen Torosyan by Pashinyan's Side - 'Hraparak'
Arsen Torosyan has resigned from his position as Minister of Health, as confirmed by our news yesterday, and surprisingly, even to his friends, he agreed to be appointed to the position of Chief of Staff to the government by Eduard Aghajanyan. According to our sources, Pashinyan had long wanted to relieve Aghajanyan of his duties, in which the spokesperson Manej Gevorgyan also played a certain role.
Regarding the retention of Torosyan, who has criticized Pashinyan during the post-war period and suggested he should leave, it has been reported that Pashinyan wanted to keep Torosyan by his side as a link to the Armenian National Congress (ANC). In these days, when the circle of allies has sharply diminished, he seeks to somewhat restore the distant cooperation with the first President of Armenia, hinting to Torosyan about kompromats and the dangers of living without power.
Moreover, Torosyan has concerns that as a result of actions taken on Pashinyan's orders, he has acquired a significant number of enemies, such as the criminal case initiated against the former director of the St. Gregory the Illuminator Hospital, Ara Minasyan. Consequently, he believes he cannot live in peace and is contemplating leaving Armenia. Perhaps this is also the reason he agreed to the position.
