Levon Kocharian on the Plundering of the Army
They say the army is not equipped. Who said it is not equipped? Based on my father's administration, I can say that until 2008, we did not concede anything to Azerbaijan, perhaps only in terms of personnel, purely because their population is larger. This was stated by Levon Kocharian, son of the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharian, in an interview with Radio Azatutyun.
“After the change of power, there was much talk about how our army was plundered. In the New Year's speech, the Prime Minister of the country said that we are already good, our army is strong, they are no longer stealing. Then there were the events of July, after which their propaganda claimed that since they are no longer stealing or plundering, that bad chapter has been closed, and that's why we achieved such a great victory. In September, this war began, and as our positions deteriorated, they again resorted to propaganda, stating that they were reverting back to the previous regime. This means that if something is going well, they are good; that is why it is going well. But if things are not good, they start remembering the previous ones again,” he said.
