‘Joghourt’. The Case of Murders in Gavar Has Hit a Dead End

‘Joghourt’ newspaper reports: ‘The criminal case initiated precisely one month ago, related to the vendetta following the murders in Gavar—manifested by the destruction of the hospital and the slashing of the necks of the victims—can be said to have hit a dead end. Specifically, according to information obtained by ‘Joghourt’, the investigative body has submitted motions to the court regarding a group of individuals, asking for their detention as a preventive measure. However, in many cases, the court has rejected the motion.

The reason is that the investigative body has been unable to provide sufficient justification regarding who specifically was the first to invade the hospital and what actions each individual took. In this regard, they have even taken the hospital's surveillance camera footage, and investigations are underway to understand the circle of these individuals and efforts are being made to locate many of them.

It should be noted that ‘Joghourt’ previously reported that following the gunshots and the murder of two individuals on the road to Gavar on April 28, tensions had not calmed down, and residents of Noratus entered the hospital in Gavar with iron rods, where the police were on guard under the leadership of the Chief of Police of Armenia, Arman Sargsyan, and they caused destruction to the hospital's property, after which they sliced the necks of two individuals who were lying in the hospital.
