Tragedy in Aghdzk: Sisters Infected at Mother's Funeral Both Die

One of the individuals who died from coronavirus yesterday was a 61-year-old woman from the Aghdzk community in the Aragatsotn province. According to community leader Arthur Avetisyan, she contracted the virus during her mother’s funeral.

“She had a fever and was taken to the hospital yesterday, where she passed away,” the mayor stated.

The deceased woman’s sister also died two days prior from the virus, having been infected during the burial ceremony as well. Nevertheless, the funeral had few attendees, with the mayor noting that the number did not exceed ten participants.

Currently, family members of the deceased woman are in the hospital, where they too have tested positive for coronavirus. The mayor also mentioned that the number of infected individuals in Aghdzk has reached around ten.
