Large Sum of Money and Gold Stolen from Nurse's Apartment in Vanadzor
On May 26, a significant residential burglary occurred in the Lori Province. Around 6:40 PM, the Police Department of Vanadzor received a report that an unidentified individual or individuals had stolen from an apartment located on Hambardzumyan Street in Vanadzor. Police and investigators clarified that between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM on May 26, the unknown person or persons opened the entrance door of the apartment belonging to Narine Mkrtchyan, a resident of Building 7 on Hambardzumyan Street, by an as-yet undetermined method. Once inside, they stole a large sum of money and gold and silver jewelry from the bedroom wardrobe.
According to the source, the thief or thieves stole USD 2,800, EUR 250, 280,000 Russian rubles, 2,100,000 Armenian drams, and several million drams worth of gold and silver jewelry. The victim, Narine Mkrtchyan, works as a nurse at the 'Vanadzor' medical center.
