Lori Region Police Identify Shooter in Vanadzor
According to Shamshyan.com, the operatives of the criminal investigation department of the Bazum police station in Vanadzor have conducted necessary operational and investigative measures, obtaining operational data that led them to identify the shooter responsible for the gunfire on May 24, at the back of building 79 on Tigran Mets Avenue in Vanadzor.
The shots were fired by 58-year-old Armen Baloyan, a resident of Aghayan Street in Vanadzor, using a 12mm Winchester type smoothbore hunting rifle belonging to him. According to G. Shamshyan, police have discovered the crime weapon from Baloyan’s wife and are taking the necessary steps to locate him.
On May 24, around 23:55, a call was received by the Bazum police station reporting gunfire near 77/2 Tigran Mets Avenue. Police determined that at approximately 23:30, a resident of apartment 2 in building 77 on Tigran Mets Avenue, 40-year-old Liana A., heard a loud explosion noise followed by gunfire. Subsequently, she noticed damage to the wall adjacent to the kitchen window, including a hole and scattered debris on the floor.
Forensic experts from the Lori regional police department conducted an investigation at the scene, finding a metallic detail in the kitchen of the specified apartment and one cartridge at the back of building 79 on Tigran Mets Avenue.
