VIDEO: Illegal Hunting with Firearms in Restricted Area Leads to Arrest of Young Individuals
On the evening of January 25, a report was received at the Baghramyan Police Department regarding armed individuals in the Yervandashat-Bagaran area of the Armavir region. Cooperation between the Baghramyan Police Department, the NSS, and Russian border guard troops revealed that two residents of Yervandashat village, aged 25 and 27, had illegally entered a restricted area with a self-loading rifle and a shotgun to engage in illegal hunting.
When they noticed they were being watched, they abandoned their weapons and fled the scene. Law enforcement officers discovered the firearms, which were confiscated for further action. The young men were apprehended and taken to the Baghramyan Police Department, subsequently being presented to the territorial investigative department and arrested.
A forensic examination has been appointed. The preliminary investigation of the initiated criminal case is ongoing.
