VIDEO. Misconducts of Former Mayor of Hrazdan Revealed

Based on information received by the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Division of the Criminal Police of the Republic of Armenia, operational-investigative measures were taken and checks were conducted, resulting in factual data indicating that the former mayor of Hrazdan and the head of the land use department organized a formal auction for the sale of a 4-hectare land plot in the Jrarat neighborhood of Hrazdan in May 2006, abusing their official positions contrary to the interests of service.

The mentioned land plot was sold at a price significantly lower than its actual value, specifically for 24,860,000 AMD, to the owner of a certain company. One year later, the same plot was valued at 537,500,000 AMD and was contributed to the charter capital of another company owned by the same individual, subsequently transferred to yet another company.

A criminal case has been initiated in the police regarding this incident, which has been forwarded to the investigative committee.
