Video: Children's Mattresses' Foam Soaked with Opium-Type Drug, Customs Committee Reports
The Customs Committee has discovered opium-type drugs hidden from customs control. The employees of the Customs Committee's anti-smuggling department have prevented another attempt to illegally transport drugs across the border of the Republic of Armenia.
Officials inspected a package sent from Iran to Australia in the name of an Iranian citizen identified as R.A. The inspection revealed that the foam of two children's mattresses, weighing a total of 4 kilograms, was soaked with opium-type drugs.
Materials related to the incident have been submitted to the investigative department of the Customs Committee. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 267.1 of the RA Criminal Code.
