VIDEO: 415 Drivers Have Already Lost Points, 4 Have Lost Their Driving License

From December 30 to January 12, the traffic police relocated 454 vehicles to a designated area, of which 183 were in Yerevan and 271 were in the regions. This information was reported by the official website of the Armenian police, analyzing the statistics of violations during the holiday period.

Out of 454 drivers, 415 were found to be under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, 4 were operating vehicles without license plates.

Among the drivers who caught the attention of police officers, 11 did not have the appropriate documentation, 21 were operating vehicles without a mandatory insurance contract, and 7 were driving with tinted windshields. Nine drivers were fined for throwing various items and objects out of their cars while driving.

It is worth noting that starting from January 1, with the implementation of the point-based system for road traffic, drivers who operate vehicles while intoxicated will lose 4 of the 9 points allocated to them annually. Those operating vehicles without license plates will lose their driving rights for one year.
