Tragic Incident in Ararat Region: Woman Falls Under Freight Train

Today, on October 31, an extraordinary and tragic incident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 18:30, the Masis police station received a report that there was a woman's body at kilometer 2867 of the Masis-Norabaz highway, and according to preliminary information, she had fallen under a freight train.

Police and investigators discovered the body of an unidentified middle-aged woman approximately one meter away from the train tracks in the specified area.

At the scene, police and investigators established that the driver of the freight train was Derenik Najaryan, who was summoned to the Masis police station with the escort of local officers. A criminal case has been initiated by senior investigator G. Mkrtchyan regarding the incident, and the police and investigative department are working to identify the deceased.

Law enforcement officials are exploring several theories, including suicide, an accident, or a hit-and-run.
