Three Vehicles Collide on Tbilisi Highway; Rescuers on Scene
On October 31, at 1:20 PM, the '911' service received a report of a traffic accident near 20 Tbilisi Highway in Yerevan, where a vehicle collided with a gas pipeline, resulting in a gas leak. Rescuers were requested to assist.
A firefighting and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a 'Mercedes C180' (driver: Mher H.), 'Opel Zafira' (driver: Vrej G., born in 1966), and a 'VAZ-2121' (driver: Melik P., born in 1992) were involved in the collision.
The gas cylinder from the 'Opel Zafira' was dislodged and thrown out of the vehicle. Emergency medical staff provided necessary medical assistance to driver Vrej G. at the scene, and hospitalization was not required.
Rescuers disconnected the vehicles' power supply, closed the valve of the dislodged gas cylinder, and moved it to a safe location.
