Difficult Roads and Black Ice in Some Areas
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of March 18, at 19:45, there are impassable roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
The Vardenyats Pass is impassable for all types of vehicles.
The bends of Spitak, the Sotk-Karvachar road, and the inter-community roads in the regions of Amasia and Ashotsk in Shirak Province, as well as the roads connecting the villages of Ttujur, Yeghipatrush, Chknagh, Kuchak, Dzoraglukh, and Vardenis in Aragatsotn Province are also difficult to pass.
There is black ice in some sections of the Sotk-Karvachar and Aragats-Talin roads.
On the Sisian-Zanger road in the Syunik Province, as well as in the area known as “Meghru Sar,” there are snow precipitation.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
Regarding Larsi
According to the information received from the Road Department of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is closed for trucks.
Construction Works Ongoing
Construction works are underway from the 39th km of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi road to Bagratashen.
Alternative routes for transport traffic have been established:
Transport vehicles traveling to Alaverdi, Vanadzor cities, and nearby settlements are to use the following route:
1. Vanadzor-Stepanavan-Agarak-Koghes-Aykahat-Odzun-Alaverdi road segments to the border with Georgia.

From June 30, 2018, until March 18 this year, construction works have been taking place at the 139th km of the Yerevan-Meghri road, causing a 200-meter section to be closed in one direction.
