Upcoming Cold Spells Benefit Everyone: Gagik Surenyana

Upcoming cold spells in the next three days are beneficial for everyone. This was stated by Gagik Surenyana, head of the Meteorological Center of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations, on his Facebook page.

“Dear people, the cold expected in the next three days is in the interest of all of us. The drop in temperature slows down vegetation and the sap flow process in trees, in turn delaying the flowering of fruit tree species. The later the fruit trees bloom, the lower the risk of frost damage,” he wrote.

It is noted that earlier Gagik Surenyana had reported on the incoming cold air front to Armenia, which will lead to a decrease in air temperature and precipitation in the coming days.
