Updated: Snowstorm on the Roads of Aparan and Artik

The Ministry of Transport, Communication and Information Technologies of Armenia informs that as of March 17, at 21:30, it is snowing in the roadways of Kotayk, Sevan, Aragats, Aparan, Talin, Lori, Gavar, Jambarak, Ashotzk, Tavush, Stepanavan, Hrazdan, Spitak, Vardenis, Martuni, and Meghri regions, as well as in the Tigranashen bends.

There is a snowstorm on the roads of Aparan and Artik.

The highway through the Dilijan bends is closed for heavy and trailer vehicles due to heavy snowfall.

The Berd-Jambarak highway is closed due to severe weather conditions and lack of visibility.

There is fog on the Sisian and Meghri highways, with visibility reduced to 100-150 meters.

The Vardenyats Pass is impassable for passenger vehicles, while it is closed for heavy and trailer vehicles.

Road construction workers are conducting cleaning and treatment with salt and sand on the roadways.

All other interstate and republican highways are open.
