Fatal Accident in Gegharkunik Province

Today, February 12, a fatal accident occurred in Gegharkunik Province.

According to shamshyan.com, at around 19:15, a 42-year-old resident of Sevan, Haykaz Grigoryan, while driving his Opel with license plates 51 QQ 900 on the 75th km segment of the Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan highway within the administrative territory of Sevan, struck a pedestrian, 51-year-old Eliman Papyan, from the village of Voskepar in the Tavush Province.

As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan from the scene, the driver did not flee and assisted in transporting the injured person to Sevan Hospital, but the latter did not regain consciousness in the intensive care unit and passed away.

Those gathered at the scene stated that the victim had been purchasing fish when the Opel struck him.
