Video: Man Enters Bank and Strikes Glass of Manager's Office with Axe

On January 29, around 1:50 PM, the Arabkir Police Department received a report that a man with an axe had entered the "VTB" bank branch located on Baghramyan Avenue. An officer from the Main Directorate of Police Protection, who was on duty at the branch, managed to neutralize the man.

According to the Information and Public Relations Department of the Republic of Armenia Police, the suspect was apprehended by officers from the Arabkir Police Department who arrived at the scene. A criminal case has been initiated in the investigative department of the Arabkir administrative district, under the characteristics of robbery.

The weapon used in the crime, the axe, has been confiscated. The 33-year-old suspect, Hrachik Umurshatyan, has been arrested by the Arabkir Police.

The circumstances of the incident are being clarified in the preliminary investigation.
